Treatment overview
Hand Rejuvenation Treatment
When judging a person’s age, it’s the hands that give it away. Usually, you think of facial treatments when considering anti-aging, but the tendons and veins on your hands show up more with age. As the skin on your hands loses elasticity, it can bunch up to look like crepe paper. Whether it’s your skin’s texture and thickness or loss of fat and tissue beneath the skin, you can rejuvenate your skin for younger-looking hands.

How it works
Rejuvenate Your Hands
A dermal filler gel containing biocompatible calcium-based (calcium hydroxyapatite) microspheres is typically injected when restoring volume in the hands. This dermal filler provides immediate volume to your deflated skin while simultaneously stimulating new collagen growth over time for natural, long-lasting results.
Once completed, your hands are massaged to distribute the filler evenly. The hands may feel stiff, and some minor swelling may occur for up to 7 days.
The treatment experience
Planning Your Hand Rejuvenation Treatment
Your experience begins with a consultation with one of our expert staff. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that best suits your needs and relevant medical history.
Our hand rejuvenation treatments are 100% personalized, and can vary in strength, the number of sessions, and the combination of treatments. While on average, we recommend a series of 2 dermal filler treatments to rejuvenate your hands. Depending on your skin and hand conditions, you may require fewer sessions or benefit from more.
Your Guide to Hand Rejuvenation with Dermal Fillers
Before the Treatment
For the week leading up to your treatment, we recommend avoiding red wine, aspirin, Motrin, Advil (ibuprofen), non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), and other blood thinners.
During the Treatment
To minimize discomfort, your injector may use a topical anesthetic around the treatment zones to ensure you are comfortable every step of the way.
After the Treatment
Treated areas may be slightly swollen/bruised, which will resolve in 1–2 days. For some, this may last up to 2 weeks. Avoid exercising for the rest of the day following treatment. Do not massage the treated areas and don’t sleep on your hands for 2–4 days.

How Much Does Hand Rejuvenation Cost?
The cost of hand rejuvenation treatments with dermal fillers varies from $850 and up per syringe.
For best results, typically, one syringe per hand is required. Hand rejuvenation results with dermal fillers can last up to a year or more; however, we recommend you repeat the treatment every 12 months.
You should not have dermal filler injections for your hands if you:
- Have skin that is infected or inflamed (filler injection should be delayed until the inflammatory condition has been managed).
- Have skin that is prone to excessive scarring (keloids) and/or thick scarring (hypertrophic scars).
- Are known for bleeding disorders.
- Have a history of severe allergies or anaphylaxis.
- Have a hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product (poly-L-lactic acid, sodium, carboxymethylcellulose, and/or non-pyrogenic mannitol).
- You are allergic to Gram-positive bacterial proteins.
- You are allergic to lidocaine.
- Have recently received skin treatments, such as laser or chemical peeling, from which your skin has not yet completely healed.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Hand rejuvenation with dermal filler is a popular treatment for brides-to-be. Because the particular dermal filler we use builds collagen over time, we recommend having your treatment 1–2 months before your big day.
Hand filler treatments are quick and simple procedures. Typically, there is little to no discomfort during a hand rejuvenation treatment with dermal fillers. After your treatment, your hands will feel a bit of tightness. At times, some hands swell the day after the treatment, but you should still be able to carry on with your daily activities.
Typically, the results are seen instantly.
